Reaction to The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

The first thing you notice about the film that stands out is the first person perspective which you don't see done in a lot of movies.  This is mainly because from the first person perspective you don't see other things going on in the setting that the filmmakers may want you to see, but it works for this film.  It makes it really easy to understand his predicament and feel for him.  Once you connect with him it's exactly like you're experiencing everything with him which is what makes this a good movie.  Also, everything that's going on visually keeps your attention, and his sense of humor keeps you entertained.  I don't think that this film is for everybody though, because of how artsy it is, but it's still a great film.
